Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions outline the basis on which STI Clinic provides its services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these terms.
General Principles
- All service users must provide informed consent for any care or treatment received at STI Clinic.
- Our services are designed to prioritise client comfort, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
Self-Request Tests
- Self-request tests are conducted based on your request, without prior review or recommendation from our clinicians.
- Results from self-request tests will not be reviewed by our doctors unless you have undergone a consultation and paid the associated fee.
- STI Clinic doctors are not responsible for providing clinical diagnoses or wider health assessments unless you have had a consultation.
- If you have any health concerns, we strongly recommend a consultation with a UK-registered medical practitioner before selecting or undertaking any tests.
- STI Clinic accepts no responsibility for:
- Tests conducted without prior consultation.
- Omission, dishonesty, or misrepresentation of clinical details.
- Self-request testing services are not suitable for clinically urgent cases, as samples are referred to external laboratories. Urgent tests should only be conducted under the care of a registered medical practitioner.
- Turnaround times listed on the website are guidelines and may vary depending on external laboratory processing.

All staff members at STI Clinic:

Confidentiality
- Your personal information is kept strictly confidential. We will not disclose your details to third parties without your explicit consent, except where required for your care or by law.
- Information shared for your benefit (e.g., referrals to GPs or hospitals) will be done only with your permission.
- Your information is stored securely in both paper and electronic formats, and CCTV is used on the premises for safety and security.
- Further details about how your information is handled can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Equal Opportunities
- We respect your right to practice your beliefs, religion, or culture without discrimination.
- Any complaints of discriminatory practices will be thoroughly investigated, and corrective action will be taken where necessary.
Teaching and Training
- From time to time, medical students or trainees may be present during consultations.
- You will be informed in advance and have the right to decline their presence.
Chaperoning
- A chaperone is available upon request during consultations or procedures.
- Clinicians may also arrange for a chaperone to be present if deemed necessary for clinical or safety reasons.
Complaints and Compliments
We value feedback as a means to improve our services.
- Complaints will be taken seriously and responded to within 24 hours, with a final reply issued within 28 days.
- If a complaint is upheld, we will issue a written apology and take corrective action.
- Complaints can be escalated to an impartial third party if required.
- Compliments are equally appreciated and help us acknowledge outstanding service by our staff.
Respect for Others
- We expect clients to extend courtesy to other users and staff.
- Abusive, threatening, or intimidating behaviour will not be tolerated, and individuals engaging in such behaviour will be asked to leave and barred from future use of the clinic.
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on or near the premises.
- Children must be supervised at all times. Service may be suspended if children are left unattended.
Payment Arrangements
- Fees for services will be notified at the time of booking or prior to your appointment.
- Deposits paid online to secure a booking are refundable only if cancellations are made more than 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment are non-refundable.
- Full payment for services must be made at the end of your appointment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
