Please read these terms carefully. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by STI Clinic London ("the Clinic", "we", "us", "our"), located at 20 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London SW7 3DL.
By booking an appointment, attending our clinic, or using our website, you agree to these Terms in full. These Terms apply to all patients, visitors, and users of our services.
2. Our Services
STI Clinic London provides private sexual health services including:
- STI testing and screening
- Sexual health consultations
- Treatment for sexually transmitted infections
- Health advice and education
- Prescription services (where clinically appropriate)
Our services are provided by qualified healthcare professionals, including GMC-registered doctors and trained sexual health nurses. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
3. Eligibility
Our services are available to:
- Adults aged 18 and over
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion, particularly where we believe it is not in the patient's best interest or where there are safeguarding concerns.
4. Appointments
Booking
Appointments can be booked online through our website or by walking in during opening hours. Online bookings are subject to availability. No deposit is required when booking online.
Cancellations
We request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the slot to another patient. Repeated no-shows may result in restricted booking privileges.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule to ensure we can provide adequate care to all patients.
5. Payment Terms
- Payment is required at the time of service
- We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and contactless payments
- Prices are as displayed on our website and in the clinic at the time of booking
- We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect bookings already confirmed
- VAT is not applicable to medical services
Refunds
Refunds may be provided at our discretion in the following circumstances:
- If we are unable to provide a booked service due to our error
- If a sample is lost or damaged before testing
- If there is a significant service failure
Refunds are not typically provided for services that have been delivered, including when test results are negative (as this is the expected outcome in many cases).
6. Patient Responsibilities
As a patient, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your medical history and symptoms
- Inform us of any known allergies or medications
- Follow clinical advice and treatment instructions provided
- Attend follow-up appointments as recommended
- Inform sexual partners if advised to do so following a positive result
- Treat our staff and other patients with respect
- Not attend the clinic if you are experiencing symptoms of infectious illness (e.g., COVID-19, flu)
7. Clinical Limitations
While we strive to provide the highest quality care, please be aware:
- No test is 100% accurate: All medical tests have limitations. We use gold-standard PCR testing which has very high sensitivity and specificity, but no test can guarantee complete accuracy
- Window periods apply: Some infections cannot be detected immediately after exposure. Our clinicians will advise on appropriate testing timing
- Results are not a diagnosis: Test results should be interpreted by a healthcare professional in the context of your overall clinical picture
- Treatment limitations: Not all conditions can be treated at our clinic. We will refer you appropriately if specialist care is required
8. Confidentiality
We take your confidentiality seriously. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your personal and medical information.
Key points:
